Telepresence Conductor Out Dial

Hey Guys,

I am running into an issue where I can't get the Telepresence Conductor to out dial to a TCS recording alias.  I have configured a location and an auto dialed participant, but when I have 2 people join the conference I never see the conductor dial out to the recording alias.  I have checked the VCS logs and see nothing.  I am sure I am missing something stupid, but any help would be appreciated.  This is a net new install.

can you give us more details about your setup. like software versions, is your conductor in B2BUA mode ?

as soon as the first user join the conf it should dial the auto dial participant.

can you paste the auto dial participant screenshot? what is your conference name does it matches to the one configured on the auto dial participant page?

Conductor Versions is 2.2.1

I don't think it is running in B2BUA mode.  It is just a stand alone conductor.

Attached are the screenshot of the conference alias and the auto dialed participant.  Let me know if you need something else.

Your conference name for your ADP doesn't match the conference alias you want it to dial out from.

Change your ADP to use the following conference name and let us know the results: Mandarin (Recorded).

The reason they much match is because you could have multiple aliases for one template, however to make sure the participant is used for the correct conference with the correct template, you have to select the template you want it to be associated with, and specify the conference alias by the name you want it to create on the bridge.

Note, you can use regex to specify it to be added to any conference being created under the template you selected by using (.*).

Here is the help text for the conference name option for an ADP.

A regular expression (regex) that matches the name of the conference to which this participant will be added. Participants will be added to conferences using the above template only if the conference name matches this field. You can use a regular expression that matches one or more possible conference names.

"Name of the conference" is the name of the conference that is created by the conference alias.  So you are almost there, it does tie back to the conference alias, just not the alias itself, but rather the conference name associated with the alias.

OK so I tried that and then dialed in two endpoints, but I never see it dial out.  I tried both the exact conference name the (.*)  Here are the event logs:

Well I can see where I tries to dial out to the ADP (this is just a small snippet of the logs surrounding the ADP dial out):

Looks like you have a misconfigured port somewhere. Check your Conference bridge settings in Conductor and the Conductor zone in your VCS, make sure all ports you're using match as well as protocol. The logs show you're using TLS, so you'll want the port to be 5061.

I finally got it working.  I was way off   You got me on the right track.  I verified everything was TLS and then I switched from using the policy integration to the B2BUA integration on the VCS.  Once that was done I cleaned up the telepresence server and removed all the SIP settings that were referencing the VCS.  Clicked "Save" and it started working!  Thanks for hanging in there with me.  You were a huge help!

Not a problem, glad you got it working! Sounds like you had it misconfigured quite a bit. When you deployed the Conductor, did you do so using the deployment guides? We just recently deployed one ourselves with Cisco's help in a VCS B2BUA deployment.

Yeah I made the dumb mistake of deploying it using the policy service instead of the B2BUA...  In the future, the policy service deployment method is not going to be supported.
