Hi,
Has anybody here connected a CTS 3010 unit to a catalyst 3750 switch (not V2/G/E/X). I have a customer that wants to use one of the 1Gig uplink ports (with a GLC-T SFP) to connect a TP unit but I'm having a hardtime finding out whether these ports have sufficient buffering capacity etc.to deal with the traffic.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
James Smith

From the SRND for TP on CCO :

Check section : Catalyst 3560G/3750G and 3650-E/3750E

Thanks for the response Hans.
I've read the SRND and the Medianet Campus QoS 4.0 guide (and every data-sheet and Q&A section I can find) however I can't find any reference to the older 3750 (not 3750-V2 / 3750-G / 3750-X / 3750-E) architecture.
Ultimately I guess the question is something like this. Is there a difference between a 1Gig uplink port on a 3750 switch as opposed to a 1Gig access-port on a 3750-G or one of the newer generations of switches from a QoS perspective?

We run various CTS 1000 and 3010 units off 100Mb/s 3750 ports at 1080p, so a 1Gbps SFP should be fine.
We have to do this as many of our units are on fibre and when we installed them you could only get 100Mb/s fibre switches unless you used SFPs for every host connected to the switch.
