Dear All

 I have IX5000, MX 800 , Call control system ( check the table below ) , MCU 410, adding license for CUCM 9.x/10.x , TMS 14.X and BE 7000 Qty:2 with Hyper ver 5.X

my Questions are :

1) regarding call control system in the table , I think it is a expressway , do I need install Expressway-E software and Expressway-C or all I need just install Expressway-E ?

2) which unit will integrate with CUCM and how it will be , trunk or there are extra configurations are needed ?

3) regarding TMS server ,  which configuration I will choose Provisioning or others ?

4) regarding IX5000 , and MX 800 , it will register in CUCM , right ? are there IX5000 and MX800 in CUCM ?

3) Call Control System

Accepted Solutions

1) regarding call control system in the table , I think it is a expressway , do I need install Expressway-E software and Expressway-C or all I need just install Expressway-E ?

You need both Expressways (C&E) to work in the solution. Both boxes are part of the Collaboration Edge infrastructure and the solution won't work if one box is missing. Collaboration Edge (Expressway Core + Edge) are part of the CUCM environment for  mobile and remote access and to handle B2B calls.

2) which unit will integrate with CUCM and how it will be , trunk or there are extra configurations are needed ?

- Expressway Core will be interfaced with CUCM via SIP trunk. And when enabling mobile and remote access (MRA) and B2B calls, you need to create 2 separate traversal zones (1 for MRA and 1 for B2B) on Expressway Core (traversal client) and Expressway Edge (traversal server).

Here are good deployment guides:

For Mobile and Remote Access with B2B deployment guide:

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/solutions/CVD/Collaboration/midmarket/Oct2015/CVD-CollabEdgeUsingBE6000.pdf

For Mobile and Remote Access deployment only:

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-7/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-7.pdf

3) regarding TMS server ,  which configuration I will choose Provisioning or others ?

- Can you elaborate what do you want to achieve in deploying TMS? Scheduling/booking? Phonebook?

4) regarding IX5000 , and MX 800 , it will register in CUCM , right ? are there IX5000 and MX800 in CUCM ?

- Based on your BOM and the licenses, the solution is a Expressway. Expressway don't support registrations. All video endpoints will register on the CUCM. Immersive endpoints (IX500) and multipurpose video endpoints (MX800) are supported in CUCM and will managed these endpoints for call control.

You may refer to the CUCM compatibility matrix for supported devices:
