Tim,

I mean the user that can be created here: Systems -> Provisioning -> Directory  in Catalog->Local Directory

The user that you created is under the Provisioning Directory.  Although there is a table in the TMS database that stores a portion of the Provisioning Directory information user account information is stored in the OpenDS database if you are using the Legacy TMS Agent and in the TMPE database if you are using the Provisioning Extensions.

If you are using the Legacy TMS Agent then you would of had to also taken a TMS Agent back under Administrative Tools>Configuration>TMS Agent Settings and restored that along with restoring the TMS database.  These are two separate databases.

If you are having issues with this then I would suggest that you open a case with the Cisco Telepresence Support Group and we can take a look into this for you.

Hi Tim.

I've made some testing and have another question.

First of all I made a TMS Agent backup and than I deleted a user.

Than I disabled replication on VCS Control TMS Agent;

Than I cleared the list of Replicating agents.

Than I complited the restore TMS-Agent.

After that I saw the deleted user in the Provisioning Directory. So the user was restored.

But when I enabled replication on VCS Control TMS agent the user disappeared again.

Is it correct behavior?

Andrii

------------------

Hello Tim,

I've found the next information in the

Cisco_TMS_Agent_Legacy_Provisioning_Guide_13-2:

"The Cisco TMS Agent replicates through a multi-master replication process, meaning that no one database is the master of all. The Cisco TMS Agents on the Cisco TMSs (if in a Cisco TMS redundant setup) and Cisco VCSs (if in a cluster) continually check with one another for changes and differences between them. All provisioning configuration changes must be made via the Cisco TMS Provisioning Directory UI."

So, it seems like after restore TMS thinks that VCS Control has more actual database (without interesting user) and TMS replicates provisioning user database from the VCS Control.

Could you please give me the right algorithm to restore user directory?

Andrii

Yes it was recorded.  We are working on getting it uploaded.

Thanks

Tim,  I went thru your slide deck presentation for TMSXE and it is Exchange centric.  While I dont blame you since Exchange controls the market, a Domino or Lotus Notes integration with TMS falls into my plate and now I am trying to get as much documentation or skills for this.

Where are the slides or docs for Domino or Notes integration?

thanks

We have not provided an Ask the Expert webinar on the topic of the Lotus Notes integration with TMS.  If this is something that you would be interested in seeing Cisco offer please post that here and we will see about offering this as part of the Ask the Expert Webinar series.

I would be interested in providing this as this is a product that I am also a SME.

The documentation for the TMS Lotus Notes integration can be downloaded from the Cisco.com website as well as the installer.

Thanks

Tim
