We have upgraded to TMS 14.2 and no loger have TMS Scheduler as an option. Is it totally gone now and Smart Scheduler is the only option? We do not have TMSPE but do we need it if we only want the Smart Scheduler?

According to the TMS release notes, it requires the installation of TMSPE, which is it a part of.
This release removes the TMS Scheduler from Cisco TMS.
The new Smart Scheduler has been introduced to replace it, available free as part of the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite Provisioning Extension (Cisco TMSPE). See the Cisco TMSPE Release Notes for further details.
I haven't tried to install TMSPE without an provisioning options installed on a TMS, but in theory it should work if all you want is the new Smart Scheduler.

Thanks Patrick. Do you know if TMSPE is a free extension?

I know it requires a TMS option key to be installed in TMS to use provisioning, however I can't say for certain if you can install it and simply use the Smart Scheduler without the need of the provisioning side of the extenstion. That would be something more for someone like Kjetil to answer, rr if you have a test environment, you could test it yourself.

Hi,
The device provisioning part of TMSPE requires a license key, the Smart Scheduler part does not.
