TMS not importing SIP Addresses from Active Directory

TMS is not importing users' SIP Addresses from Active Directory. As a result, the call directory on our VC units cannot pull up any names, even though the users are visible in TMS. The only exception is one person who, for separate reasons, had the attribute "msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress" manually created. Most users do not have this attribute.

 

Besides creating a script to add this attribute to all users, is there any other way to fix this? Can TMS be set to pull the SIP from the user's email address?

 

I'm aware that my question is similar to this one:

However, we have over a thousand users so I'm a bit leery of tweaking every single AD account and then having to fiddle with the attributes for every new person that starts. I'm hoping that there's some sort of configuration setting that might fix this.
