TMS-PE - Empty Video address field in Devices page

RAMEEZ RAHIM

Issue1:

We recently upgraded to TMS-PE with TMS 13.2.1

We are trying to monitor the users provisioned from Systems > Provisioning > Devices.

We do see the users provisioned and the corresponding times. But most of the entries are seen with empty Video Address field - So we are not able to track which user has been provisioned.

Issue2:

When we delete an entry from here Internet explorer, the list is not updated until the temp internet files are deleted.[ie) the deleted entry is shown]

From Chrome or Firefox, this behavior is not seen

As it is right now, the delete option could temporarily fix small issues for when the TMSPE service resolves devices to users. The TMSPE server would generate continuous errors if it tries to resolve a device to a user, and the user doesn't exist any more. There is a defect opened on this issue:CSCue38077

Hi rameez a device is added once a user logs in, do you know if the users you do not see an address on has in fact logged in? If you do a migration devices will not be migrated.

Hi Magnus,

We dont know which user this corresponding empty line points to.

We see the empty lines for new users as well - not migrated devices.

Deleting the device entrees will not do you any good. This data is actually populated from the VCS as devices are provisioned. Currently, the VCS will hold this data without anyway of purging the data. The next time a full sync is performed between VCS and TMS, the devices that you have deleted will return.

Hi Zach,

Then what would be the use of this delete option here.?

We were actually trying to clear out old entries...
