Unable to upgrading C20 from TC5.1.3.292001 to TC5.1.4

Have tried upgrading my C20 from TC5.1.3.292001 to TC5.1.4.. No luck at all.. keep getting "Invalid file uploaded".. Am sure it is the correct file s52000tc5_1_4.pkg. Have tried with IE & FireFox too..

Have even tried to doing Factory Reset... And that does not seem to work too... The ping to the C20 drops for a bit and comes back up again.

Anyone else has managed to do this successfully..

Thanks..

Hi Mayank,

As suggested above, the upgrade seems to be working. It is possible that it is not working for you due to corrupted file. Can you try download the file again and attempt to upgrade ?

Also, if you're still not able to do it via the GUI of the codec. Can you try using WinSCP do to that. You can find detailed instructions here required to upgrade TC codecs :

Have you try download the TC software from Cisco site once again (and check MD5 making sure file is not corrupted)?

C20 in lab successfully upgraded to TC5.1.4 from TC5.1.3 by using s52000tc5_1_4.pkg.

Software upgraded via WebGUI by using forefox (for your reference).

Hello,

can you please use scp to copy over the file from a server to your codec and check the MD5 as suggested by Tomonori?

The way to check the MD5 is to access codec via root and execute following command :

[dderidde-ex90-home:~] $ sha1sum /tmp/s52000tc5_1_4.pkg

8dfdc3ccaff2fd9d5ef38b242b84285f716477ff  /tmp/s52000tc5_1_4.pkg

[dderidde-ex90-home:~] $

I uploaded the file from a unix system to the codec as follows :

dderidde@drop% scp s52000tc5_1_4.pkg root@10.60.142.205:/tmp/s52000tc5_1_4.pkg

The authenticity of host '10.60.142.205 (10.60.142.205)' can't be established.

DSA key fingerprint is d9:e9:ff:c8:3f:df:54:e8:d3:37:2b:aa:7a:cb:ef:86.

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes

Warning: Permanently added '10.60.142.205' (DSA) to the list of known hosts.

Password:

s52000tc5_1_4.pkg                             100%  206MB   1.2MB/s   02:49

dderidde@drop%

If the MD5 is correct you can copy the file from /tmp to /upgrade/pkg and the codec will get upgraded automatically.

[dderidde-ex90-home:~] $ cp /tmp/s52000tc5_1_4.pkg /upgrade/pkg

hi Guys...

Managed to upgrade the C20 codec to TC5.1.4.295090 using WinSCP. I doubt that the file was corrupted as I used the same file for winSCP. Just checked the MD5 Checksum and the file is not corrupted too.

Also intrestingly after the upgrade via WinSCP, my H.323 & SIP settings were lost. I had to key them in again to get the C20 to register to VCS Control.

Mayank
