If you can upgrade directly or not would you listed in either the upgrade docs or in release notes. We upgraded from the latest x12.5 release there was to the very first version of x14 and we did not have any issues from what I can recall. I don’t remember any configuration changes, there are some new settings that surfaced in mid versions of x14, such as improved UX for SSO login for Webex. Again from what I know you can not as such do a roll back, but I do remember seeing a past not that long ago where someone said it is possible. Try searching for it. The normal roll back procedure has otherwise been install a new VM with the previous version and restore the backup taken prior to the upgrade.
Apart from what I wrote before x14.0.7 is the latest version and I would recommend that you go for this instead of .6. We are currently on this version and so far it seems steady as a rock.
