Use Sparkboard as room display only

Hello,

   We have a few Sparkboards that we only was to use as room displays. Do we have a way to default the board to HDMI in only to displayed.

Hi,

Not sure with old Spark Board but with new Webex board with Room OS, when you connect your laptop using HDMI Cable it displays the laptop screen on it without touching any button Webex Board.

I’m trying to just use the board as a display by pass the webex operating system. We have a few of this around and would like to use them as digital display VS going and purchasing new hardware.

You can't fully stop the device from being a video endpoint, but if you connect your HDMI device to it, it will display on the screen, so should work in a basic manner as you want it to.

If you install the latest versions of the CE9 software on to it, you can disable some of the default call control options from appearing on the UI which may help you further to make it appear as just a dumb display.

It seems a bit of a waste to use such a capable device as just a screen though - perhaps consider selling them if you're not using them and then purchasing dumb screens with the money you get from their sale - at least that way someone can use them for what they were designed to be used for.
