Using C90 Codec from Tandberg T1 with CUCM

Hello everyone,

is it possible to register the C90 Codec of a Tandberg T1 at the CUCM?

We are currently trying to register one, but the state of the registration is always "Failed: 485 Ambiguous". The CUCM tells us the registration is rejected. Is it possible that the problem is the Product ID, which is "Cisco T1 Telepresence". We can only select Cisco C90 on CUCM. So this doesn't fit and the device is rejected.

Is there a way to solve this problem? Maybe telling the C90 that it is no longer a T1? We already tried removing all optionkeys but there is one of type "unkown" which can't be removed. Could this be the T1 optionkey?

I am hoping for good answers :)

Kind Regards,

Jannik

Looking at the CUCM Device Package Compatibility Matrix, the TANDBERG T Series endpoints aren't supported, ie: not listed.

If you'd like to use the TANDBERG's T1 C90 codec itself, and not the T1 as a whole, you might be able to change the product key of the T1 to be that of a C90 by requesting new license keys.  See t3-c90-codecs.

We had to get in contact with Cisco Licensing to get a option key that converted the T1 Codec to a simple C90 Codec. Afterwards it was possible to register it to CUCM.

Glad you were able to use the C90 codec itself, even though you weren't able to use the T1 as a whole.
