VCS Encryption

Hi

I am looking to upgrade our VCS from version X7.2.4 to X8.5.3.

The upgrade guide states that all the configuration will be lost if we are upgrading from a Non AES version to version X8.5.3 because it only supports AES.

My concern is How can I check if the currently installed software (X7.4.2) on VCS supports AES or not.

Thanks

You can check to see if your device supports encryption by looking at the System Overview Web Page.  If it supports encryption, it'll have "Encryption" reported in its Options list.

See https://yourvcs/optionkeys

The release notes state that before X8.1 some of the the VCS used a weaker encryption instead of AES. How can I check which encryption the current version of VCS is running. Does the Encryption option Key suggest its using AES or can this option key be for some other encryption as well like DES or 3DES.
