VCS Expressway failover question

Hi Folks,

There is a existing VCS-C/E cluster at Site-A. Site A is connected to Site-B,C and D. But Site-B,C and D are not inter connected via point to point. Site B cannot reach Site C or D and vice versa. Now, can we put a VCS-E at Site-B incase Site-A    VCS-C/E fails. Will all the endpoints at SiteC and Site D failover to VCS-E at Site B via internet ? Do we require VCS-C at Site-B to register endpoints at site-B or can we register endpoints to VCS-E at Site B directly. Thanks.

Cheers

It's possible to leverage DNS SRV records using priorities to accomplish this.  It would also depend on the domains each site is using, if using a single domain for all sites or if each site has their own domain.  I know you're not clustering each site's VCS to another, but take a look at Appendix 6 in the VCS Cluster Creation Guide for examples on how to use setup DNS, it's not a 1:1 comparison for what you want, but the concept is the same.
