VCS License Transfer

Hi Guys,

We have virtual VCS Control which was registered with a Virtual Serial. The server crashed and we do not have any back up. We re-installed and the serial is now different. Can we transfer the licenses ? On the licensing page the transfer/re-host is not highlighted for the PAK.

If you managed to duplicate the UUID and VMware's MAC address, you should recover the serial number.

Thanks Hong. What do you mean by VMWare's MAC ? I see 3 network interfaces. Where can I find the mac for the specific host ?

All the configurations are in the .vmx file. you can edit with ssh on.

You need to contact the licensing team to rehost VCS licensing. That is not available through the licensing portal for end users.

You'll need your PAK and/or contract information to get this done.
