VCS limits for Transforms, SubZones, etc.

Hi team,

a customer is using a lot of Transforms in VCS-C (X7.2) to reduce manual faulty dialing from endpoints and to force communication via SIP protocol.

So for each new Cisco VC-EP (Profile and EX-Series) customer creates two new Transforms.

(It's a big heterogeneous scenario with Cisco Profile- EX- Jabber Video clients and also Polycom EP's => H.323 can't be turned off and some EP's are not in company phonebook, so they have to be dailed by E.164 alias.)

The two different Transforms for the two different brads are:

1) Pattern type:     EXACT

   Pattern string:   491234567 (E.164 alias)

   Pattern behavior: REPLACE

   Replace string:   sipuri_device01@company.net

2) Pattern type:     REGEX

   Pattern string:   491234567@.*

   Pattern behavior: REPLACE

   Replace string:   sipuri_device01@company.net

Currently it's not possible to create a new Transform.

Message of the VCS: "Unable to create transform: The maximum limit has been reached"

There are 99 existing Transforms on the VCS right now.

Here are my questions:

What are VCS limits of Transforms?

What are VCS limits of SearchRules?

What are VCS limits of Subzones?

What are VCS limits of Links?

What are VCS limits of Pipes?

Do you know a way to extend the number of maximal Transforms?

Do you have an idea to reduce the number of needed Transforms in this scenario by using (a maybe more principally) regex?

Best regards,

Fabian

I'd strongly suggest they use an ENUM zone on their VCS for this E.164 to SIP URI mapping.

See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_ENUM_Dialing_Deployment_Guide_X7-2.pdf for more information
