VCS OpenSSL commands not working

Hi,

I am following this document to create a CSR for the certificates

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Certificate_Creation_and_Use_Deployment_Guide.pdf

The openssl commands to create the certificate is failing on my machine.

openssl req –new –key privatekey.pem –config openssl_vcs.cfg –out certcsr.der -outform DER

I am getting a fail on the syntax at the last 'certcsr.der' it is telling me that .der is not a valid syntax.

Is this a mistake on the docs, or is there something I have missed?

See the attached pic for where it fails.

Have you tried adding the option -sha1 on the end of your command line?

Cheers,

Neal
