Im just curious if anyone has run across a way
to integrate a "Door Phone" with IP telephony. I am looking to see if there is any device that we could use that would "pop" a video screen up on the pc when they dialed the phone.
In most of our facilities, we have exterior door phones that require someone to either dial a specific extension, or just push a "Call" button. When the employee answers the call, they then press # to let the person into the area. It seems reasonable that if the exterior door phone had a camera, when the caller pused the call button, a video of the caller could pop up on some desktop, so the employee could actually see who was at the door.
Im sure there are alot of ways to do this outside of UCM, but our requirement is that it works with UCM.
