voip compression

Greetings

I am wondering if I can effectively use the data compression AIM on a 2621 for Voice, Video, and data?  Is it cost effective or is comrpession more for higher end routers?  I was looking at the data sheet for compression AIM and don't know if it supports stacker and predictor algorythms.

I am trying to see if I should just use cRTP.  I guess the decision is based on how much voice and video traffic I have on the network in comparison with data.  Above algorythms are for payload compression, while cRTP is for header compression.  Am I correct?  Is there anything I am overlooking?

Data compression is mostly a legacy technology. The AIM module is being discontinued, and nothign similar is available on newer routers.

Today, one should not design based on compression.

This said, look for WAAS if you are in the nned of minimizing traffic to maxium extenet possible.
