What's the DSP usage by TCL Scripts for audio playout?

I am working with a developer who has been using a router with the default IOS TCL script (session) to playout IVR like prompts and collect digits before routing the call - normal stuff really. But the time has come to scale this to real world platforms.

My question is on DSP resourcing - does each concurrent audio file playout require an individual DSP channel? Or (a big or), can we get away without provisioning any DSP resources at all if none are used for the audio playout (e.g. just a plain old VWIC-2MFT-E1 in a crusty old 2600)!!!! If this was the case this would mean we could create massive IVRs very cheaply - call me cynical, but this is not normally the way of the industry and I am guessing NM-HDVs and 5350s etc.!!!

Any thoughts out there?
