Zones between Expressway Edges

Dear Colleagues,

I am looking for a supported solution for H323 communication between Edges. For security purposes the communication has to flow within the DMZs.

As I can see there are two ways to cover our requirements, I have collected the port requirements as well.

- Traversal server/client zone

Src:    Customer's EXP Edge
Dst:    Provider's EXP Edge
Port:

TCP 1720, 2776, 2777
UDP 1719, 2776, 2777, 6001, 36000-59899

- Neighbor zone

Src:    Customer's EXP Edge
Dst:    Provider's EXP Edge
Port:
TCP 1720, 15000-19999
UDP 1719, 36000-59899

Dst:    Customer's EXP Edge
Port:

UDP 1719, 36000-59899

Is there any restriction regarding the mentioned scenarios? I don't want to implement an unsupported solution.

Thanks,

Laszlo

Hi Laszlo,

Traversal zones are meant for communications between C and E.

Two E's (and even more so, two E's from different domains/companies etc) should be communicating across a neighbor zone.

Ports look ok.

Cheers,
  Zoltán
