recently i have partner asking for UCSD and Veeam integration because of Hyperflex. as i know both software have REST API ready. but i can't manage to find any resources on the integration. anyone can help here?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Actually is for those new requested VMs (via self service portal) to attached a backup policy on top. which need to get UCSD to "put" the VMs created into a backup policy.
You will probably need one IF in the workflow to test if you are dealing with Linux or Windows. Not sure what OS you are targeting.
This task can give you the Information on the Guest OS
All 400+ community site workflow/custom tasks are here
I would take a look at the integrations I did with the Generic API task and Cisco DNA Center on the community site. The task can be a bit tricky and looking at an example should give you some good ideas.
I did a quick google search and found the Veeam API.
One API call I found is this one: http://<Enterprise-Manager>:9399/api/backupServers
But the whole manual is online:
Once you have your workflow you then can make a catalog item out of the workflow and make it consumable for other users.
Or you can make it a high light VM and create custom button "catalog item as well"
here are my Cisco DNA Center catalog offerings.
You can use the generic API task in UCSD and create your integration.
The workflow can then be attached to the VM deployment as a post provisioning workflow.
I posted the Veeam API doc above they have 100's of commands. Not sure which functionality you like to implement.
