I used UCSD to manage a switch: Nexus 5010.
I want to create a workflow to change the vlan for a switch port. I think the Configure Access task is good for me. Sadly, I confused how to use this task. The task guide as below:
Input | Description | Mappable To Type | Mandatory |
---|---|---|---|
Select Device | Select Device | networking_device | Y |
Select Port | Select a port name. | networking_device_interface | Y |
Access VLAN | Select list of VLAN to be allowed in Access mode | vlanID | Y |
STP Port Type | Specify a port type for spanning tree protocol use | gen_text_input | |
Description | Enter description for this Configure Access | gen_text_input |
But in the Workflow Designer, the Task need an extra input: VDC Name (Mandatory) Type: NXOS VDC Identity.
How to create/get the VDC?

The picture you sent does not have. VDC in it.

Creating a VDC is done under policies - virtual - network and compute and storage and service delivery and cost model then you can create a VDC

On second look is this a VDC on a 7k?

If your 7K had a vdc then the LOV would be filled. Does your 7K have a vdc? Is the 7k connected to UCSD? Does it show up in the converged screen under a site and/or POD?

And, how to know a task is designed for which device?
