1040 sensors or CUCM CVTQ?

Hi community,

I am a little bit confused regarding the need for rollout the sensors around an organisation... since callmanager (>= rel. 8.5 I think) can deliver CVTQ data, is there any benefit, what can do the 1040s better..? We are still running latest Prime Collab. Assurance 9.5

Thanks a lot for any hints.
Greetings, Chris

Hi Chris,

The 1040 Sensor and the NAM offer MOS updates every 60 seconds, providing a near real time notification that also helps to isolate short bursts of problems.  The CDR reports MOS at the end of the call.  Also, having multiple measurement locations on a conference call can reduce the time needed to isolate an issue, since the 1040 nearest the problem will have more events.

It can be used for new installations, troubleshooting and to monitor high value end points where notification in real time is needed.
