AC username clash with LDAP username!

We have Cisco Call Manager CM 11.5.1.11900-26 and have it linked to our LDAP (Active Directory) to create new users. We have an issue with having the LDAP username to be the same as the one for AC 11.0.3.2604! When a username on LDAP is first.lastname then we can not have the same username on AC to be first.lastname. 

 

i.e. 

LDAP user = first.last

we sync to create new account.

AC user = first.last

Account never gets active and IP phone doesnt have them in directory.

 

Anyone faced this issue before?
