Are the MGCP ports registered with CUCM? How are they defined there?

Hi Eliot, yes ports are registered with CUCM. how still am not able to make the call between Analog/IP phones.

thanks for your comments.

If the ports are registered in CM it would likely be an issue with calling search space. Can the CSS that the analog ports use see the partition where you have the directory numbers?

Please post a screen shot of what the port configuration looks like in CUCM.

Hi Elliot,

thanks for the comment, here is the ports status, all are registered with CUCM.

Can you open one of the devices up by clicking the name and share the configuration of the device and the directory number (line)?

Response Signature

As your using MGCP you do not need this line in your configuration, “allow-connections h323 to h323”. That is for a SBC (Cube) configuration.

Hi Roger,

thanks for the comment, yes I saw later and remove this, I was trying to fix this issue while watching the videos on the internet. however still issue not resolve even tried to reconfigured all ports on CUCM.

thanks!

I'd like to see the detail of the port config in CUCM. Also, would you please provide some more detail on the problem? Do the analog ports ring when you attempt to call them, or do you get an error message/fast busy from CUCM?

Hi Elliot,

I can see the ports on VG by Off Hook/On Hook, and on CUCM am not sure how to check this I mean what exactly need to see, am very new to CUCM so this is the reason am reading tutorials and watching videos to fix this issue.

Hi @Muhammadnawaz

As Elliot and Roger already mentioned, when you have problems with dialing from endpoint to endpoint the first thing to check is CSS\Partition configuration. In order to be able to call to any Cisco IP Phone, your VG port must have an appropriate CSS (Calling Search Space).

Can you please click on the link with your VG port in CUCM Admin and show its configuration? Then we will see if your VG has any CSS configured and can comment further on. Here is were you can see it:

My Cisco Unified Communications Blog

Hi Dmytro,

thanks for your interest and comment, problem is solved now, there was a duplicate IP address configured on VMs hosting CUCMs Primary and Secondary. when we delete the extra VM from the server issue was resolved.  as this was a remote support to client that's why it took time to understand this issue.

thank you everyone for the support and comments they made here.
