Folks:
I'm new to Cisco UC, and to this site's implementation of 9.1 BE. I had a user tell me yesterday they they had several dropped calls. I thought I would see if I could trace the calls using CDR records. I've discovered plenty of info on "Cisco Unified Communications Manager Call Detail Records" administration guides...... but I can't find where the "CDR Tools" is loaded. My one lead was the Cisco Unified Serviceability console "Tools" menu, but does not have a option dor "CDR Tools and Analysis".
Am I missing the forest because of the trees?
I also interestingly can't find any particular set of instructions on installing the CDR service, can one assume it is installed as part of the base product?
System version: 9.1.1.21009-1

Yes, CDR and CAR are services that come on every CUCM, you just need to enable them, and activate them.
Chances are, you don't have it enabled, so, you won't find any info there.
Go to service activation and make sure CAR is enabled.
Then go to CUCM service parameters and enable CDR related parameters under system, if these were disabled, you'll only get data from that moment forward. Those settings are PER SERVER, you probably want to enable them in all servers you have devices registered to.
