Busy Lamp Speed Dial Configuration page becomes unresponsive and reloads when using IE

When clicking on a hyperlink on the Device page, to modify a BLF speed dial, the window and page that opens ("Busy Lamp Field Speed Dial Configuration") becomes unresponsive, and eventually reloads, or eventually causes the original window and page to reload.

This is something I've noticed with at least a couple versions of Internet Explorer. Currently this is happening with IE 11. As many others have found, Compatibility Mode has to be used to resolve the issue with drop-down menus disappearing. Unfortunately, Compatibility Mode does not seem to resolve the issue with the unresponsive BLF page.

CUCM version 8.6.2.22900-9.

Any help, aside from recommending a different browser, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Justin,

I did not find any bug matching this CUCM version or IE version for this kind of behavior. So most likley trying a different PC or browser would be the first thing that TAC might ask you to do in such a scenario. However, you may also try changing the Enterprise parameter "Max List Box Items" to a value of 50 and see if it helps, as i have seen this helping to load the pages faster.

This parameter specifies the maximum number of items that display in a list box in Cisco CallManager Administration; for any value above the number that is specified in this parameter, only the default (such as None) and the currently selected items appear in the list box, and a Find button appears to the right of the list box. Click the Find button to find and choose the desired item. Increasing the value above the default sends more items directly to the browser but results in slower page loads in a large system. Decreasing the value sends fewer items directly to the browser and results in faster page load for a large system. This setting affects only fields where a large number of user-defined items are likely, such as Partition, Calling Search Space, and Voice Mail Profile.
