Hi Everyone,

We are using CUCM version 10.5.2, IM&P 10.5.2 and CUC 10.5.x. We want to deploy cisco prime collaboration provisioning.

I have a few question about it.

- Which license do I need for CPCP
- Does CPCP can be work single server ?
- I checked that for CUCM version  10.5.2 are recommended PCP 10.5(1)

Thanks,

File name to use:

cpc-provisioning-11.5-627-xxx.ova depending on your deployment size.

Can I use latest PCP 11.5  for  CUCM version 10.5.2 - yes, but why don´t you use 11.6?

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286308336&softwareid=286289070&release=11.6&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

You can run PCP of course on a 3rd party server:

If you are using a single CUCM and CUWL licensing, you can use the Standard version which does not require a license.  If you want to use the Advanced version you will need a PCP BASE (server license) and the scale licensing (must cover all the endpoints CUCM(s) cover. These licenses are generally sent out as a single one license with one license PAK sent out from the ordering system.

If you mean CUCM, then yes it will support one server. If you mean PCP, then PCP small (up to 3K endpoint) and medium (up to 20K endpoints) OVAs can be installed on one server (one VM).

PCP 10.x is not recommended at all at this point.  Use PCP 11.6 for all servers from CUCM 10.0 and later.

I have 3 CUCM server, 2 I&MP and one CUC server. When I look at the following guide PCM 10.5.1 recommended for CUCM 10.5.2 whay do you think about it ?

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/uc_system/unified/communications/system/Compatibility/CSR-Compatibility-Matrix-InteractiveHTML.html

Thanks

Not sure I see what you are seeing. To be clear though, the support is as follows

CSR 10.6 CSR 10.5
CUCM 10.5(2) 10.5(1)
PCP 10.6 or later 10.5.1 or later
PCA 10.6 or later 10.5.1 or later

Generally versions of PCP and PCA (Prime Collaboration) support back two major revisions. The PC 10.x revs are EOS now and are not recommended to run anymore.  PCP 11.6 and PCA 11.5 (11.6 in January) should be the revisions you install or upgrade to today to work with your UC applications version 9.0 and later. There is no need to try to match the PCP or PCA revision numbers to the UC revision numbers.

The chart you are referencing was filled in at the time of the CSR releases. I suspect the older revisions are not updated with the newer revs.

Hi

I have one CUCM cluster (one pub and two sub) Do I need addional license for PCP ?

What you mean one server ?

Thanks

For PCP standard you need no license for a single cluster.

With "server" Tony was explaining you can have one physical UCS server hosting VMs for PCP and CUCM + xxx.

Go to www.cisco.com/go/vmpt if you want to learn more about it.

Cheers

Steffen

Last question; Does PCP compatible with 3rd party server  (HP or ibm  etc)

I checked that your provided vmpt tool small deployment  It can be able to run on one core .

Many Thanks for advice Steffen,

This was very helpfull for me.

I wil use this one

Cisco Prime Collaboration 11.6 provisioning OVA for small deployment
cpc-provisioning-11.6-938-small_signed.ova

What is the difference between PCP and self provisioning  ?

Does self provisoning doing same thing with PCP ?
