Cisco Unified Service Statistics Manager 1.2 License

Hi,

i have a strange problem with CUSSM 1.2 license. My company purchased a 3000 phones license and i received 2 .lic files. I put both files in the right directory (C:\Program Files\CUSSM\pw\licenses\cisco\etc\licenses), restart service but the software seems able to read only 1 file. When i go to the Web Interface and see the license i read the worng count...this is my situation:

- 1 .lic file with 1000 phones license

- 1 .lic file with 2000 phones license

-  the files are both valid because, if i insert only one at time, i see the correct values (1000 and 2000)

-  the problem is that, if i put both of them in the directory, i see the 1000 phones license only.

-  it seems like the software is unable to read 2 .lic file toghether.

-  i tried to cancel the demo .lic file from the directory but it doesn't work

There is a strange behaviour: the total license count is 1250 (not 1000): it seems there is another license that raises the count by 250 but, at same time, causes worng license calculation.

Is there anyone who had the same problem ?

Thank you

Hi Roberto,

It really sounds like this bug;

CSCth07589

Upgrading from Service Statistics Manager 1.2 requires you to have an upgrade license.

When upgrading to Service Statistics Manager 1.3, you are required to apply an upgrade license. This is not correct. You should not have to apply an upgrade license.

Workaround:

Apply the SSM1.3CSCth07589-1.0 patch. The patch is located at
http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282989534&flowid=5093&softwareid=282509423&release=1.3&rellifecycle=&relind=AVAILABLE&reltype=latest.

Note This patch also fixes an issue with adding phone counts between multiple license files. The phone count issue also occurs on a new installation of Service Statistics Manager 1.3.

Cheers!

Rob

Thank you Rob,

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

Before you do anything else, I would contact;

licensing@cisco.com

Give them your PAK #'s and MAC etc. and ask them to combine the

2 license files into 1 file

Cheers!
