Hi everyone i have to unity servers vm only with 4000 mailboxs i have upgraded them ot unity 4.0.5 in production everything is working fine.
To prepare for unity connection 8.0.2C i have installed Cobras export tool on the unity servers and the informix as well When i do the export to the E drive i notice some things are being wriitten to the D:Commserv directory. I am copying the mdf file to another pc which is in a lab with the connection servers.
The connection servers that are in a lab cannot see the old unity servers si i can test everything is it ok to do the import from this pc to uc or does the import need to get at some information on the old unity servers ??????
Thanks in advance

When you run COBRAS import on any pc to the Connection server, the only thing it needs from your backup is the MDB file(s) the export created. There will be one for directory data and optionally one (or more) for messages depending on if you opted to export messages and how many of them you have (COBRAS rolls the MDB file at about 800 meg).
The items COBRAS Export is writing to the local drive are just log files, temporary files (i.e. for packing up WAV files for instance) - so long as your MDB files are out where you can get at them when you run the import, you'll be fine.
