Hi Guys,
Need your advice.
I am looking to update CUCM & IMP server from Version 10.5.2.10000-5 to Version 10.5.2(SU3a).
I am hitting a low common partition space issue.
There is only 4GB of space on the publisher. I have do not have much to purge as my “activelog /cm/trace/ccm/sdi” folder is empty.
Have also set the LogPartitionHighWaterMarkExceeded and LogPartitionLowWaterMarkExceeded to 50% and the common partition has increased to 14GB.
What is common pattition required to do this minor update?
I do see this topic discussed in many forums but do not see a fix for this minor update.
Is it advisable to increase Virtual disk?
Do we also need to again install the OVA for increasing the Virtual disk?
As we are running V 10.X – does COP files still need to be installed if we do changes to the Virtual disk?
is it possible to delete the inactive partition? before the update? Which should help to make more space.

Yes, I was referring to COP file, and the Free Common Space COP file can remove the inactive partition, as I've used this myself to perform several upgrades where I ran out of space.
Regarding the vDisk size, refer to Step 4 under the "Change Virtual Machine Configuration Specification" section.

You have three options:
It's all outlined on Step 5 under the "Perform Pre-Upgrade Tasks" section in the the CUCM & IMP Install Guide.

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for helping out.
Please confirm are you referring to COP file - hope it is not "COM file" as per your response.
can you confirm can COP file "ciscocm.free_common_space_v1.3.k3.cop.sgn" be used for removing the inactive partition? the readme does not give any info of the supported call manger Version.
What are the steps involved if i have to Expand the vDisk?
