Second extension provided for user's phone. for example first line extension 5522 and new second extension number 5550.
After adding the second extension line, updated user ippohne attribute in active directory with new number 5550. This number synchronized properly in CUCM and can be seen there in end user section.The user's primary extension changed to new number 5550.
Remember here both numbers (line one 5522, line two 5550) still exists in the phone.
when other users try to search this user from their IP phone its showing business phone number as 5522 instead of new number 5550.
What could be the reason? why its still showing old number 5522 in corporate directory.
CUCM version is 11.5

So you are searching the extension through the corporate directory and is not showing the correct extension right?
The Telephone Number field at the end user page is correctly?

Yes. Exactly.
That is what happening as u said. Telephone number at end user page showing correctly. But when searching user from corporate directory in phone it shows old phone number entered 8n active directory.

I don't have screenshot. I already checked. It's new number showing there.
But phone it's showing as I attached.
We reset phone. Hard reset, but result were same

Thanks! The second thing to check would be the url for the Corporate Directory phone service. Can you please provide a screenshot of this?

Is your CUCM Corporate Directory looking CUCM, LDAP, or a different database (like integrated via Singlewire)? If the directory is looking elsewhere that would explain what you are experiencing.

That’s exactly what I suspect and is the reason for why I asked for a screenshot of the Corporate Directory service.

other than IP phone services is there any other place to look this issue..
In device phone configuration section any thing is there to check?

As expected there was phone service to imagicle.
Then I checked their imagicle application and found the user with old extension. I changed it to new extension.. but still when people search his extension its showing old extension number..
what could be the reason now..

Sorry no idea, I’ve got zero experience with Imagicle. If it still shows the wrong data it must be some other place that you would need to update or some more steps to do after you change the data for it to be used.
