Create a custom Directory

Hi there,

I have a customer with cucm 8.5.1 and they have many branch offices.  They want to know how to create an office directory for just that branch.

So when you press the directories button on the phone you will have the default coporate directory, default personal direcory and they want to create an office directory which would contain highly utilized contacts throughout the corporation and office without having to search through the coporate directory individualy.  Each branch would have its own office directory with what that branch considers highy used contacts.

In CUCM 8.X  the directories are phone services, once you create your directory and host it in another server, all you need to do is to create a new IP phone service of directory type. Once you've created it, you subscribe the phones of each branch to it and only those phones will have it available.
