Hi Everyone,
Requirement is to integrate CUC 8.5 with customer exchange 2010 for unified messaging solution. Question is does customer need to enable MS-Unfied messaging service in their exchange for cuc integration ?
Rest of the required configurations are understood but only thing need to confirm about UM Service must be enabled on Exchange or not?

No.. you don't need the MS UM stuff.
Exchange UM is basically the telephony interface and storage of voicemail all provided by Exchange.
When you use CUC, it uses Exchange for storing a copy of the voicemails only; it doesn't require any Exchange UM components.
