Hello, I have cucm version 7.1.3 fresh install, when i try to configure a backup device i get the following error
Status: | Local Agent is not responding. This may be due to Master or Local Agent being down |
the backup/restore services are started and i restarted the services, i restarted the tomcat service and i can't get this to work
please let me know if you seen this before and how did you resolve it
thanks

Check to make sure your cluster is replicating correctly in RTMT. (DB Replication status). It could be possible the Publisher can not access the Subscriber for some reason.
Check the logs also in RTMT for any other issues. Also a reboot for the Publisher might be needed

Try deleting your backup source and recreating it. So if your SFTP server is listed, delete, then recreate it again and see if it will kick off.

Hi Roland,
indeed i found a way to resolve this problem
this is what i did
1. Login into the OS web admin page , go to Security > Certificate Management > click on 'find'
2. Click on 'ipsec_cert.pem' and tomcat_cert.pem certificate
3. Click on 'regenerate'
4. if you are still having issues, reboot the server and you will be good

Hello Crostobal
Thanks for your idea. This is on the right path but has not quite worked.
I have received a second solution which is working now.
Try this,
1. Log into OS Administration page
2. Security-> Certificate Management-> find
3. Click on ipsec.pem file and then click on regenerate
4. After the successful generation of the ipsec.pem file, download the same.
5. Go back to the certificate management page
6. Delete the existing corrupted ipsec-trust entry
7. Upload the downloaded ipsec.pem file with the caption ipsec-trust.
8. Restart MA/LA.

I would like to have more information on your procedure !?
4. After the successful generation of the ipsec.pem file, download the same.

5. Go back to the certificate management page
6. Delete the existing corrupted ipsec-trust entry
We delete the file that we generate earlyer ?!?
7. Upload the downloaded ipsec.pem file with the caption ipsec-trust.
8. Restart MA/LA.
what's that Ma/la is this in the services page ? ?

Check that the hostname of the CUCM backup is the same as the current CUCM hostname
