Hi
I wanted to know if it is a requirement or merely best practice to install the latest DST cop files.
We are running version 14 and i see there is a new DST cop files called ciscocm.dst-updater.2024a-el7-00.14.0.1.cop.sha512
Several years ago we had issues with the clocks moving a week early or late and at the time the fix was to install newer DST cop file. However given this needs a full reboot of all nodes I'm left wondering if we really need it. We are UK based so have GMT and then BST time zones. There has been some discussion that it it only needed for countries that have made changes to the DST in there area eg stopping it or changing when it happens.
So just wondering if we can leave it and clocks will change correctly across our CUCM IM&P and Unity servers.
Thanks in advance.

If there hasn’t been any change to the DST settings in the country where you operate there should be no need to install a new TZ file.

Useful to know. Just wish Cisco TAC had told me this before i spent some time installing it on a Cluster. TAC said i should install it.
We then had some internal conversation when we were about to do a second cluster thinking it was not needed. Glad i asked now it has saved me some work.
