I have been tasked with managing our existing telecom infrastructure for corporate users. One issue came up today that I thought would be simple but I am beginning to lose hope. How do you change the display number on the top of the screen for a 7960?
It currently shows the date. time. and ext, but we want it to show the entire number or make a correction to that number.

There are many ways to do that. One of them is:
1) Go to CUCM > Device > Phone
2) Find the phone you want to update.
3) Click on the directory number (DN) on the left-hand side.
4) Configure "External Phone Number Mask". e.g. 408555XXXX (assuming you're using 4-digit extension).
