That is to say, I can ring a number, get forwarded to the group-delivery mailbox, leave a message ... and then when I check the mailbox, there are 0 new (or old) messages.
So far in pursuit of the problem, I upgraded CUE to 7.0.5 with a from-scratch configuration. Which leads me to the counter-intuitive conclusion that the issue lies in the configuration of the CME side of things (and that would make some sense ... the CUE config wasn't touched between the working and non-working states ... only the CME side) ... but what could possibly be the matter?
I am totally lacking information on what is 'wrong' - anyone got a clue what CUE traces, CME debugs or experiments-to-rule-things-out which might be of use?

the GDM might be full and no message is played so that the caller will know and not leave a message ??!!
