CUPS integration with WebEx and Tandberg

Hi Everyone,

We need to integrate conference solution with CUPS 8.5. We have WebEx and Tandberg. But in CUPS the only available option is meetingplace for  video conference system even in 8.6. Has anyone done the CUPS integration with WebEx and tandberg. and is it really possible ? Appriciate your response

Meeting Place is just the audio portion. It too uses WebEx, so CUPC can escalate to web conferencing using either Type 1 or 2 configuration

Also CUPC can dial Tandberg end points, if you have them registered to CUCM (like E20) or to VCS over a SIP trunk as an example until more endpoints natively register in 8.6

Just more clarification. doest it means that I will just provide the WebEx(SaaS) information in CUPS  for WebConferene? Like!

Conference Server: abc.web.com

port Number: 443

Protocol: https

With these configuration CUPC 8.5 would be able to start meeting ?

It should be the conferencing server address. Check the link I posted for the steps in the previous post and this one

I am still confused. I dont have meetingplace and these all documentations are about MP. I have only WebEx(SaaS)

Hi Shrini,

I was doing some investigation on the design and what you said about conference server! pleae correct me if I am wrong

1) I shoud have Meetingplace Application server

2) I shoule have Cisco WebEx Node for MCS

No you cannot you need MP in the mix as per my understanding.

Connect(for PC) and Jabber(for Mac) on the other hand can provide escalation to WebEx directly without MP
