Yes, just review the RNs for any additional considerations, depending on which version you're going to upgrade.

There's a system upgrade section in the RNs you need to read.

Hello Java
I see on the release note of CUPS 8.6.4 this info:
Application | VMware vSphere ESXi 4.0 | VMware vSphere ESXi 4.1 | VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0 |
---|---|---|---|
Cisco Unity Connection | 8.0(2)+, 8.5(x), 8.6(x), 9.0(x) | 8.0(2)+, 8.5(x), 8.6(x), 9.0(x) | 8.0(2)+, 8.5(x), 8.6(x), 9.0(x) |
Cisco Unity | 7.x and later | 7.x and later | 7.x and later |
Cisco Unified Presence | 8.0(2)+ | 8.0(2)+ | 8.6(1)+ |
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_6/english/rel_notes/cup8xrn.html#wp2970431
So CUPs Version 8.5.X is only supported at VMware vSphere ESXi 4.1, so i cannot install the CUPS 8.5.X correct?
Thanks

Hi my friend,
I hope you are fine
If you do not have the media 8.6.1 available, downloaded the OVA template CUPS 8.6.1 and configure on UCS. After that, following the steps below:
1 - download the upgrade to CUPS 8.6.1 and configure a SFTP server with this image available to be map.
2 - start a boot with media from CUPS 8.5 and map the path to SFTP to upgrade to version CUPS 8.6.1
3 - verify if the installation proccess.
Confirm if everything is okay.
Remmenber to configure the CUCM as well.
best regards,
