DIRT restore to 4.03 (SR-1) Server

I have two seperate Unity VMO servers. The one I am migrating from is a standalone VMO server. The server I am migrating two is an off box Unity Failover configuration. Right now on the new failover configuration I have 25 subscribers running. What I want to do is migrate the standalone VMO subscribers to the Failover server (that has the 25 subscribers on it).

If I backup the standalone server with DIRT and restore to the failover configuration will DIRT delete the original 25 subscribers or will it import the users and not affect the existing 25 subscribers.

DIRT is not the tool to use for what you want to do. The requirements for a DIRT restore are listed in the help file. Here is an excerpt:

"...The Unity installation must be complete, clean and running before the restore will be allowed to run. DiRT will not “iron out the wrinkles” on a bad or incomplete installation for you. Unity must be running, must have no more than 10 subscribers and must have successfully synchronized with the directory during installation before DiRT will run. ..."

I would suggest looking at the "The Global Subscriber Manager" utility and recommend reading the Help file to see if it will work in your case.
