DIRT is not the tool to use for what you want to do. The requirements for a DIRT restore are listed in the help file. Here is an excerpt:
"...The Unity installation must be complete, clean and running before the restore will be allowed to run. DiRT will not iron out the wrinkles on a bad or incomplete installation for you. Unity must be running, must have no more than 10 subscribers and must have successfully synchronized with the directory during installation before DiRT will run. ..."
I would suggest looking at the "The Global Subscriber Manager" utility and recommend reading the Help file to see if it will work in your case.
