Effect on licenses post CUCM upgrade

Hi All

We are planning for CUCM upgrade from 9.1.2 to 11.5. But I have some doubt regarding the licensing part. In the current version we have ELM for license management, which indeed is going to change to PLM in 11.5. Will there be any impact on the current license after upgrade. Please provide your views on this.

Licenses are version specific, so you'll need to reach out to licensing to turn the 9.x licenses into 11.x licenses if you're entitled to, or if you bought new licensing, install it after the upgrade.

9.x license cannot be used in version 11.5.

If you have valid SWSS contract you can place the order through PUT.

If you don’t have SWSS your can purchase upgrade license and you can apply the new PAK in CUCM 11..x

If you want to play super safe you could install a standalone 11.5 PLM, and get your licences migrated prior to the upgrade.  Then when you upgrade just point your publishers to the new PLM instead of the old.
