Hi,
I've a client looking forward to upgrade CER from 8.5 to 8.6 and wants to know if he needs new license for it.
I believe it's a minor upgrade and he wouldn't need any but he had some license issue in the recent past and wants to be sure before going ahead with it.
I checked CER 8.6 Release notes, couldn't find the info:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cer/8_6/english/release/notes/cer_86.html#wp172986
I also checked CER 8.6 Administration guide but couldn't find this exact info:
Does anyone know any cisco documentation explaining the license requirement for version 8.5 to 8.6 upgrade?
Thanks in advance,
inner_silence

I have done the CER 8.5 to 8.6 upgrade for two different clients - no, you do not need a new license for this upgrade.
