How to migrate CUBAC to CUEAC

Hello,


we have installed a CUBAC 8.6.1.9 and we would like to migrate it to a CUEAC 8.6.1.9, on the same server.


How can we make this operation?

Moreover, how can we backup and restore the configuration of a CUxAC?

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way to perform a migration from CUBAC to CUEAC.  Their database schemas differ too much for you to perform a backup / restore of the SQL database.  If you wish to convert you will need to install the CUEAC software and have it overwrite the database configuration presented in the database wizard.

However if you want to perform backups of the database purely for recovery of the same product line, you simply need to back up the two databases that CUxAC configures in SQL / SQL Express.  These two databases are called ATTCFG and ATTLOG.
