Hi Everyone
I wanted to know can someone tell me what would be the process of migrating data from a CUCM 10.5.2 to a BE6K 11.0 setup. I'm helping some I know who was task with the project and I told him that I would ask and find out because I've never worked with BE6K and I don't know how the data migration process would work. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to your replies.

Same way you would migrate between 2 CUCM servers, DRS. There's absolutely nothing different on the code you run on a regular deployment and a 6K/7K.
The only difference is you run a lower capacity OVA and it runs on a specific server. But the ISO you use to install it, is the same everyone else uses, in every single CUCM deployment.

Sounds like your friend might want to look for reputable Cisco partner with Collaboration credentials. Cisco upgrades/migrations are never trivial for novices, and you/him might get yourselves in trouble attempting to do this. At minimum review all documentation (upgrade guide, release notes, compatibility matrix) before attempting it, and let us know if you have any specific questions on the process.

Hi Chris
I called him back and got the real info, he isn't using BE6K. He currently has 10.5.2 CUCM and they wanted to know after they setup CUCM 11.0 can they do a DRS to the new system.

I was pretty sure the original description had no versions and it was something like "I just want to move a 6K to another server" or viceversa. DRS is not an option, DRS required the EXACT same release to restore.
Either DRS 10.5 on the new server, then upgrade to 11, or use PCD to migrate directly to 11
