Installing CUE on the SRE module.

TexasBrandon
Level 1
Level 1

Hey guys, got a question that has been irritating me to no end for the last couple of days.  I am setting up a 2921 and have an SRE module that I want to install CUE on but I can't seem to get the FTP to work correctly.  I load the package, get the language selection and wait for the module to reset and then I get the error that has been my bain for a couple of days now.  Any insight on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.  Below is the error as well as my configuration.

Any insight on what I have messed up?  This is the first time I have had to set up a CUE and used Cisco's document for help here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/ism-sm-sre.html#wp1140891

This was helpful but doesn't correct my problem and need some additional assistance as you can see.  Thanks for everything!

I will try another FTP software like filezilla.  3CDaemon is TFTP/FTP/Syslog all in one and is the easiest for me to deal with on a regular basis.  I will download filezilla now and see if it makes a difference.

I am getting the same results with Filezilla as well.

Try to connect to this FTP server from DOS CLI:

ftp

open

after that use the command dir to see if can find the file that you're trying to install.

As the install goes on the router, it gets to the .key file and errors out with the messages provided earlier in this topic.  The file is indeed there though...

Try to disable the firewall f your computer.

Follow the procedure:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel8_0/install/installsre.html

Router#service-module ism 0/0 install url ftp://:@/dir/cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.pkg

So for fresh installation, the file to be installed first is cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.zip. Make sure the rest of the files are stored in the directory mentioned in the URL above:

•cue-installer.SPA.sme.8.6.1

•cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.pkg

•cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1

•cue-vm-installer-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1

•cue-vm-langpack.sme.8.6.1.prt1

cue-vm-lang-langpack.sme.8.6.1.prt1 (language package file that you desire)

Alright, I got everything working as it should so far.  I feel silly with the error that I made but here it is for anyone else that may have a similar issue.  I made a basic networking boo boo because I was to busy looking for a deeper problem.  I accidently had a static route pointing to a wrong IP, I must have fat fingered the IP and didn't bother to even look there.  Thanks for all the help, it is installing now.

It happens!

Great now everything will flow!
