Language of system notification CME

Hello,

I am facing the following issue: when one user calls any ext in the office and not getting answer, she can hear all system messages like – the call can not be complete in Russian language whereas for others while calling same ext. the call cannot be completed as dialled message is in English. I was sure that the language is globally defined across the CME and all user should have same language of notifications. Please advise.

Hi,

Do you have user-locale and network-locale command configured for each phone? To set a default locale for all phones, use the user-locale and network-locale commands in telephony-service configuration mode.

I have checked the telelephony-service and found the following.

 

cnf-file option: PER-PHONE-TYPE
network-locale[0] GB (This is the default network locale for this box)
network-locale[1] US
network-locale[2] US
network-locale[3] US
network-locale[4] US
user-locale[0] US (This is the default user locale for this box)
user-locale[1] US
user-locale[2] US
user-locale[3] US
user-locale[4] US

 

No locale configured on any phone. Only one phone has the messages in Russian, the rest of the devices have in English. Any suggestion? Thank you.

Can you please post full configuration of your CME?

If you do not want Russian language message then you can try re-configuring that phone configured with English language.

The language of actual phone is English but messages e.g. "your call cannot be completed as dialled" are in Russian". 

Shouldn't those two elements be connected? Thanks

Please provide below information:

  1. Complete configuration of your CME Router
  2. Calling and Called Number (In this case I will assume calling number gets Russian Message as Called number is not answering it).
  3. Do you have Unity Express integrated with CME? Post configuration of CUE.
