On a Unity 4.03 sr1, one subscriber has a long delay, 45 seconds, after pressing the 1 to listen to messages. Everything else is normal: logging in, hearing how many messages he has. But when he presses one to hear the messages, it's a long delay. This happens when listening to messages from inside the network or outside the network, so the issue is with Unity. This is unified messaging with an off box Exch 2000. This subscriber has subfolders and has about a gig worth of messages. But, another subscriber with 1.4 gigs of messages with subfolders has no problems at all. What could be different with this account than all the others? What can I look for? Thanks.

Any customer that is experiencing delay when accessing messages should first upgrade to 4.0(4)SR1 and install the latest version of the Exchange post-SP3 rollup on the Unity server. Microsoft made several changes to the MAPI subsystem for us and we added code to take advantage of their changes in 4.0(4). The also use Exchange search folders in 4.0(4) to cache our indexes which makes login times much quicker.
Thanks,
Keith

Thanks Keith. This delay was duplicated by taking another subscriber who had a delay logging in to his vmails and removing the text to Speach feature. Now, that subscriber has a delay after pressing the 1 button, instead of having a delay logging in. Does this make any difference, or would it all be fixed is 4.0(4)SR1? Thanks again.
