I have the following setup:
CUCM 7.1.5
UCXN 7.1.5
CUPS 8.0.2
I have installed the 8.0.1b plugins with a Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 client. Everything works great except for Presence. [Michael, Precense is working with CUPC and I have your book, just not with me this week. :-) ] I just can't tell what it's getting hung up on.
I've attached the troubleshooting screen and the detailed logging.

Per the screenshot, the plugin was having problem connecting to presence server. Would you be able to do a packet capture? So we can see what's being exchange between the client's PC and the presence server. Close other applications (like CUPC) so we have a clear view of the traffic.

Here's the packet capture... Host is 192.168.4.84 and CUPS is 192.168.2.60.
I saw the 503 service unavailable messages, so I restarted the SIP Proxy and Presence Engine services and now it works.
On another note, however, the LDAP connection always shows "Disconnected". Doesn't matter if I use port 389 or 3268. Using same ID and PW in CUCM and CUC to map users.

I am having this same problem with the Presence plugin not working.
CUCM 7.1.3
CUP 8.0.2
Sametime 8.5
8.0.1b Plugins
How does the Proxy Domain have to be configured? My CUCM environment doesn't use DNS and is seperate from my AD domain.
When I do a packet capture I don't see any SIP traffice whene I launch sametime? This seems odd.
Any suggestions?
