I've been trying to build a test system on VMWare for MPX 2.0.3 and just get a message stating INVALID platform. Has anyone managed to build a lab/test MPX on VMWare?

I understand that Cisco provides a VMware image of Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Express for certified partners for demo purpose, if you are a Cisco certified partners, you may approach your Cisco representative for the image.

I've used those images. They seem to work well with VMWare Workstation, but under ESX, MPE gets a GRUB error when starting.

That was because those images were built over IDE vDisk.
All you need to do is to convert them into SCSI vDisk. Then it'll work fine on ESX.
I have MPE 2.1 running on my ESX now.

Hi Michael,
Currently I'm trying to convert the MeetingPlace Express Vmware version (which came with our Cisco NFR kit) to a ESXi version. But I can't find the step where to convert the type of disk. I'm using the VMware Converter app.
Thanks in advance.
